I write like
Jonathan Swift

Right-o, then. I actually was trying to mimic Wodehouse’s style in that review, so that pleases me. And I already knew I tend toward the pedantic and loquacious when writing history. I’ve never actually read any Lovecraft, but I’m going to go ahead and assume the fact that most of my writing is like his is a positive thing in all respects. Now I have to look up David Foster Wallace. I’m assuming he’s American and that’s why I don’t know who he is.

Don’t shoot me, Americans, I’m a British lit person.

In addition to winning her first ever WWE Divas Championship, WWE Payback also marked AJ Lee’s first ever match on PPV. ~

I was so, so happy for AJ last night. She is very talented and has been working incredibly hard for the company this past year. It thrills me to see her finally being awarded for her dedication. Cheers, chica!

As ever, you’re at risk of wrestling commentary on Mondays…#nww

Fiction is dangerous, Gaiman explained, because “it lets you into others’ heads, it gives you empathy, and it shows you that the world doesn’t have to be like the one you live in.” That imaginative leap into other minds and other worlds is surely the reason many of us read fiction.

The best bedtime stories need Uncles + firelight to be success.
Marchingjaybird is writing the most brutal/beautiful Durinsfamily feels fic, and every time she sends me a little piece of it, I die of perfection. And feels. And Dwarves.

I know I’ve posted this before, but the trailer this week gave me a severe case of Hobbit deprivation and the only cure is flatbear’s art. #nww
